The Venetia neighborhood spans Highway 17 just south of Ortega and Ortega Forest and is adjacent to NAS Jacksonville. It is bordered on the west by the Ortega River, on the north by Ortega Forest and Pirates Cove, on the east by the St. John’s River, and on the east/southeast by NAS Jacksonville to the East/Southeast.

Venetia is home to the Timuquana Country Club, and Venetia Elementary School is located within easy walking distance.

Venetia boasts one of Jacksonville’s largest parks, the Tillie K. Fowler Westside Regional Park. This 509-acre facility features the Tillie K. Fowler Nature Center with outdoor classroom, picnic area with grills and playground equipment, biking trails, a series of hiking and nature trails, and an elevated platform from which to view wetlands, soaring bald eagles, and other birds.
